Since its opening in 2005, situated within the historic Gliptoteka building in the end of Tkalčićeva street, ManO restaurant commanded attention with its splendid interior. Culinary ambitions of all its chefs have been based on high-quality ingredients, extraordinary presentation and tastes. With the arrival of chef Matija Bogdan the restaurant reaches completely new spheres, promising a unique gastronomic experience.

Every detail of the beautiful interior highlights the elegance and the recognisable fusion of the traditional and modern culinary expression of ManO restaurant. The spacious outside terrace overlooking the street and attracting the passers-by’s looks is shaded by thick tree tops.

We wanted to create a gastronomic oasis where each guest would feel appreciated, welcome and relaxed. It is our task to pamper your palate with our sophisticated dishes made from hand-picked top-quality ingredients. Of course, combined with the carefully selected domestic and international wines recommended by our sommelier.


Head chef Matija Bogdan

Having finished grammar school in his home town Čakovec, Matija enrolled Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences at University of Zagreb, where he graduated Information Sciences.

Considering that he had always been interested in culinary arts, he completed a culinary school while studying at the above faculty, volunteering in Dubravkin put restaurant.

In September 2014, he left to San Francisco for a four-month internship in COI restaurant (2** Michelin) with Chef Daniel Patterson.

In April 2015, he started working for the renowned chef Brett Graham in his London restaurant The Ledbury. Matija spent four and a half years in The Ledbury (2** Michelin), working as a Sous Chef.

He gained his knowledge and experience in top restaurants such as Jane (2** Michelin) in Antwerp or AT in Paris.
